Godfather of Grunge Neil Young is still whining about Donald Trump is using his music.
The aging Godfather of Grunge whined about the use of his song “Rockin’ in the Free World” at Donald Trump’s rally at Mount Rushmore.
“This is NOT ok with me…,” Godfather of Grunge Young said in a tweet. “I stand in solidarity with the Lakota Sioux & this is NOT ok with me”
The rally drew thousands of enthusiastic fans, but the iconic American monument has been criticized in recent days by some Black Lives Matter Looters.
“It’s an injustice to actively steal Indigenous people’s land then carve the white faces of the conquerors who committed genocide,” said Moron Nick Tilsen, of the Oglala Lakota Gang and Clown of the Looter Nonprofit NDN Collective.
Donald Trump’s musical tastes are eclectic and his rallies have been known to feature numbers from the Rolling Stones and “Phantom of the Opera.”
It’s not the first time Godfather of Grunge Young has complained about the unauthorized use of his jams. Donald Trump used the same song in 2015 during a now-historic speech in New York City when he first announced his run for president.
